I have had several friends over the years who had a lot of knowledge and in fact several degrees from highly reputable institutions. One of them in my mind had become what I would call a professional student.  His life was a continual financial struggle and he did not have any idea of how to make a living.  However, he kept taking classes and said he would soon prix cialis find his direction.

Several months ago my wife Nancy and I spent 10 days in Hawaii on the island of Maui. Maui is a wonderful and beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed the many different sights and the fresh fish and unique foods were wonderful. One of my favorite remembrances were early morning walks on the beach. The beach was just short walk from our condo and we could see it from our balcony.

The thing I distinctly remember is that the sand on the beach was never the same. It was always being shifted by the wind and by the waves rushing in and out. It is the nature of sand. It is easily moved and sculpted into different shapes. The result is that it does not provide a good foundation. Its very properties that make it appealing to feel underfoot make it a bad substance on which to build.

As entrepreneurs many of us are much like the sand. The very part of our personalities that make us adventure into new areas can also undermine our success. In our last post we talked about the people we meet as we strive for success in our internet businesses.  Relationships are very important to your success online.  Good relationships can really enhance your chances for success.  The choice of someone to guide you and to give you positive criticism can help you achieve your success at a much faster rate.  It can actually takes months off of your struggle to get your business up and making a profit.

So how do we choose a mentor?  I think that there are several attributes you for which you look when want to find a mentor.

1. You look for someone who has the experience and knowledge to help your efforts as an online marketer.  That may seem to go without saying but many times we tend to migrate to groups with the same experience we already have and the friendship is great but the ability to really get help to move to the next level is missing.

2. It is an early Wednesday morning and I have had some time to reflect on my efforts to make money on the internet. Like many of you, I have battled with the learning curve of internet terminology, Website building, product creation, affiliate marketing. As a result each of us needs to answer the question, “How can I create a success that will allow me and my family to experience the good life?” This question must be answered by each of us individually. One of the foundations of the successful life is to realize that the only one who can create success in your life is you! There is no one who can carry you to a place of success but you! You must travel the road to success on your own. If you are not willing to expend your own efforts to change your life, then your life will remain exactly where it is. You must take responsibility for what is in your life and if you are willing to say, “Yes, I will take that Responsibility and create my own success”, then we can proceed.
